Bobby Moynihan returns as Snooki (SNL skit from 1/31/10)

So they opted to return the popular Bobby Moynihan impression back to SNL on Weekend Update. I'm not sure why they didn't want to make it into a full skit, other than the fact that it fits well with "news" (it's all over MTV right now) and it was probably easier for Bobby and the writers to write an update skit and then get it green lit rather than a full skit.

Jersey Shore's brightest and orangest drop by the Update desk.

Jersey Shore cast signed on for a second season (5 million people watched the finale), so... The poof and orange jokes continue. =^)

Enjoy!

Bobby Moynihan was Snooki again!

Just an announcement that Bobby returned as Snooki on SNL last night!

Bobby Moynihan - poses with Gonzo

So this is significant because Bobby has played Gonzo twice on SNL.

I wonder if this is at 30 Rock when Jimmy Fallon had the Muppets on the 12/23/09 episode to sing "The 12 Days of Christmas" here:

Bobby Moynihan - is a musician in Laser Cats 5

James Cameron pitches the latest installment featuring Sigourney Weaver as Ripley.

The references abound to Avater, Aliens, and Titanic.

Pretty funny, and it keeps the series fresh in this barage of film references.

Bobby Moynihan appears in the Titanic reference, as a musician (briefly).

Unfortunately, Bobby had one other skit with Sigourney that wasn't posted online yet. It's called Fire & Rice. So Bobby was only in two skits this week.

Full episode of SNL: Sigourney Weaver & the Ting Tings (1/16/10)

Season 35 : Ep. 12|56:45

Sigourney Weaver hosts Saturday Night Live with The Ting Tings.

Darrell Hammond guests as Jay Leno.

Unfortunately, Bobby was only in two skits. He briefly appeared as a musician in a Titanic gag in Laser Cats 5, and he had one other skit with Sigourney that wasn't posted online yet. It's called Fire & Rice. So Bobby was only in two skits this week.

More specifics coming later!

Sigourney Weaver SNL promo

Bill is a big fan of Sigourney's sci-fi movies.

I have a feeling that we're going to watch an SNL episode devoted to Sigourney Weaver's sci-fi films. =^)

Earlier I wrongly predicted that Hader's Greg the alien skit would be done on the Charles Barkley episode (it made sense because Charles is a sports commentator). However, I'm predicting it again for this coming episode, since the alien character would be classic when set against Sigourney Weaver.

For some reason, I can imagine Bobby writing and acting in a lot of silly sci-fi spoofs. What do you think?

Bobby Moynihan - laughing in Scared Straight

So at the end of these Scared Straight skits, Jason Sudeikis typically tries to make Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, and Bobby Moynihan laugh.

So that's what this is... a capture of them laughing while trying to keep a straight face.

Enjoy!

Bobby Moynihan in Scared Straight (with Charles Barkley)

Scared Straight from 1/9/10

Charles Barkley ... Marvin McIntosh
Bill Hader ... kid
Bobby Moynihan ... kid
Andy Samberg ... kid
Jason Sudeikis ... Officer Sikorsky
Kenan Thompson ... Lorenzo McIntosh

This is for real.

Barkley can't keep a straight face near the beginning. That's his second crack of the night (at least).

Bill Hader loses it on the wet willie. Bobby loses it when Kenan's behind him. It looks like Andy is trying to keep his face off the camera then too, because he seems to be smiling.

These skits are funny despite Kenan and the sexual jokes. It's funny just to look at their reactions.

This is the fourth Scared Straight:

11.15.2008 - Paul Rudd
03.14.2009 - Tracey Morgan
11.07.2009 - Taylor Swift
01.09.2010 - Charles Barkley

Bobby wasn't in the first skit, because Paul Rudd played the third kid instead.

Bobby Moynihan in an intervention (Booty Call with Andy & Alicia Keys)

Bobby is on right at the end.

From the Charles Barkley episode, 1/9/10.

SNL Digital Short: Booty Call

Alicia Keys
Abby Elliott ... friend
Bobby Moynihan ... friend
Andy Samberg ... Lionel
Jenny Slate ... friend
Kristen Wiig ... grandma

A late night booty call gets interesting.

The ending is hilarious! Bobby helps sell it with some vicious looks.

I was expecting a music video with Andy and Alicia, but this was perfect! What do you think?

Bobby Moynihan passionately embraces Jack McBrayer

So, I just went on hulu for the sole purpose of watching the goodnights from the James Franco show since they got cut off during the live broadcast.

Can we please talk about what is going on in that red box in the left hand corner? Now, I am not kidding nor exaggerating when I say that McBrayer and Moynihan are literally two of my most favoritest people currently residing on this planet. To see these two embrace (and embrace so…passionately!) made my heart... sing.

Critics love Bobby Moynihan's Snooki impression

ZOË RICE: Seth was off his game tonight, with some of the weakest punchlines all season, but thankfully, the guest appearances were some of the best. I’m desperately avoiding “Jersey Shore,” but I saw Snookie on the Tonight Show, and Bobby Moynihan’s impression was great. I loved how orange he was, and the “Garfield” joke toward the end prompted a sincere chuckle. But oh. Oh Garth and Kat. Please keep coming back!

HOWARD MEGDAL: Strongly disagree on Jersey Shore, though from the moment I first heard about this show, I knew SNL would be parodying it, thus making ridiculous reality show people look- ridiculous.

STEVE MURPHY: ... Bobby Moynihan kicked some a$$ as Snookie, a really hilarious, spray-tanned impression. Plus… back-abs. Classic.
